The Batek people are an ancestral tribe living in the Taman Negara forest of Malaysia. The forest in which they live serves as a source of identity and a nourishment as they hunt and forage for edible plants and berries. The Batek are an endangered indigenous people estimated to be less than one thousand population. These berries are lemon scented and an excellent addition to fish and chicken.
