Brazil Nuts are very unique and filled with amazing nutrients that are beneficial to our health. Brazil nut trees are found in the forest regions of Brazil, Bolivia, and Peru. They are in fact one of the longest living, and tallest trees in all the tropical rain forests. They can grow up to 50 meters tall and are said to live 500 to 700 years! The pods that hold the nuts are large and similar to coconut. It takes about 14 months for them to mature after pollination. Although Brazil nuts are high in calories, they contain great quantities of vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals.
